Life is Good

So it's definately been a really long time since I've updated this blog.

Things have been really good the past few months.  I actually can't believe how blessed I've been since I've moved to SC.  I've found a really great group of people to hang out with, and not just hang out with but who I really connect with and who I can only imagine will be lifelong friends.  I've joined a hiking and backpacking club, which is great and I get to get out and do hikes and trips with them.   Friends from home have come to visit me here. Work is going decently well...I keep myself busy for the most part and get along with most of the people there.  I sort of thought that moving somewhere that I didn't know anyone would be hard....but it really wasn't.  I think I've really proved a lot to myself and am starting to understand better what I want out of life...

It's crazy...I'm so blessed.  This summer is going to be great!

My Brush with Hollywood

So, they are doing some of the filming for a new movie called "Leatherheads" directed by George Clooney, starring George Clooney, Renee Zellwegger, and my man John Krasinski.  Today, I had the day off from work and went down to see who I could see (ps, these were taken with my cell phone, so they are not super):

George was very gracious and came over and shook people's hands and posed for pictures, he really does seem like a decent guy.

This was the best part of my day, there were honestly only about 5 girls waiting to see John come out.  Poor John, in a little town like Anderson, no one knows who he is, and they are just all about Clooney.  But it was really fun cause it was such a small group, and he was super nice.  I asked him a dumb question about the Office and he totally responded, and smiled.  It was just great.

We also saw Renee walk by, but honestly we were all looking at our pictures of John and weren't ready to take her picture.

But it was such a fun day, and although I wasn't sure I was excited about being in a group of screaming people...it wasn't really like that here, but the excitement was electric.

I'm not going to lie, it was awesome :)

We all have George Clooney Fever.  They have been filimg in Anderson for "Leatherheads" the past few days only about a block from the library, and we can see the old cars they are using etc. from our windows.  It's pretty exciting...and you can't help but hope he might walk into the library...you never know!  (Although, really I want to see John Krasinski, but I won't be picky)

Taxes, taxes, taxes....what do you mean the volunteers only take the first 25 people?!?!  Literally people start getting here an hour and half before it starts to get in line.....it's tons of fun for the librarians who have absolutely nothing to do with it :)

We are almost done with February and you know what that means....March Madness is just around the corner, and I'm pretty sure my Hoosiers will get a bid!
